Jason Szumlanski

Jason joined Fafco Solar as Operations Manager with a wealth of general business skills and experience with solar electric systems. His focus is on business operations and the “big picture.”

Now Vice President and General Manager, Jason is responsible for the day to day operations of the company and is seeking to take the company to the next level. His business and finance background is streamlining company operations and optimizing processes. His knowledge of solar energy products and understanding practical uses of solar energy for customers makes him an valuable asset to us at Fafco Solar.

Jason has experience with off-grid, grid-tied, and mobile alternative energy systems. His start with solar energy came in 1999 when he had to learn everything about solar to design, purchase, and construct a solar electric system in a very off-grid location for his family's organic pineapple farm. He taught himself everything he needed to know (and more) and is now highly knowledgeable in the technical and practical aspects of solar electricity. In his "spare time," he still operates an import/export business in the Caribbean.

One of his favorite hobbies is 3D computer modeling with Google Sketchup. He also enjoys boating, travel, computers and technology, and prefers craft beers from Colorado. He blogs at Solar Southwest Florida. Jason is married with two cats and he stays fit by tapping his foot all day at his desk.
