A solar skylight is a tubular skylight with a dome on the roof. A shiny metallic tube to reflect the light, and a fixture on the ceiling that looks very much like a typical light fixture.
More conventional skylight provides a view but not too much light. Despite the fact that conventional skylights can be beautiful, they are prone to leaking.
A natural solar skylight comes with its own anodized aluminum flashing to prevent any leaking. There is a 25 year warranty on this product.
